DVD wont play

Laptop +Windows XP+ WinDVD8. When DVD is inserted, this message appears " Your display environment does not support protected content playback" Same DVD in another Laptop ..no problem

Task Bar&Start panel

Task bar and Start panel were always horizontal and at bottom of Desktop. Now they have appeared vertical at the right hand side. I want them back horizontal.

I have my son home again who has been ill since last Wed with a sore, red throat and ear with very high temp! So what do i do (obviously) did the three day rule and dosed him up with calpol etc......
