mpg playing problem

One of my mpg videos does not play correctly, it skips after about 10 seconds through to another part and then a few seconds later skips all the way to the end. I get the error code...

packard bell audio dream problem

it is the 1gb colour audio dream and when i switch it on all i get is the packard bell logo and it doesnt load up any of the songs whatsoever, does anyone know how i can fix this?

I try to run RollerCoaster ****** 3 that uses DirectX9 and it tells me "DirectX not found." yet when i go to reinstall it, it tells me it's already there and I have tried uninstalling the...
