Single parent working part time

If a single parent with a 4 year old wishes to works part time does it affect his/her claim on their benefits? Where can I find out more information regarding this matter?

Homebased work

Hi can anyone help i am currently on maternity leave with my 2nd child but have decided not to return to work as paying out childcare fees for 2 kids would make it pointless me working as my wages...
