Not yet, though have been tempted the last few evenings. Actually feel quite warm this evening, but have been baking today so the heat from the oven has warmed it up downstairs. Might need a hot water bottle again tonight though - stops OH screaming when I put my cold tootsies near him!
Yes, the heating is on. Been a bit on the chilly side for a few days here (Stockton-on-Tees, near Middlesbrough). Sun was quite warm this afternoon, but strong breeze took the edge off.
Eve, yes, it's a real fire. I have central heating of course, but I wouldn't be without my fire. Once the weather gets a bit chilly I light it every single day.
Yesterday I rapped the oil tank with my knuckles and it had an echoing empty sound. I've ordered a delivery for tomorrow morning or Saturday. Hate to think what it's going to cost.
Not yet but we have swapped the bedsheet for a lightweight duvet. Within the last 2 weeks the local French have taken to wearing fleeces, jackets and long trousers, but they do this at back to school time regardless of the weather.
We had our central heating boiler serviced in July, only last week mrask was feeling cold and I turned on the heating system, and it didn't work. Had to ring British Gas who sent an engineer to find that the flaming engineer hadn't turned the central heating boiler back on
Not very warm here. Windy on the coast. Not turned heating on but have my fleece blanket to wrap around my knees and feet. Have inch gaps at the bottom of all doors, Very draughty.
