We always called them spiders, not sure why, maybe it was an Australian thing. Different fizzy drinks had different names (like coke being a huntsman spider, raspberry being a redback spider, etc).
Try a scoop of icecream in elderflower presse, or elderflower cordial mixed with wither fizzy water or lemonade - absolutely gorgeous, smells heavenly. Bottle Green make the best one (stocked in many supermarkets).
we just called them ice cream drinks and the best was with coke . i actually remember them stopping selling coke in my old school canteen at the time because everyone was mixing their ice cream in and every where was getting a mess with it foaming over.
Ice cream float. My grandma used to make me these with lemonade or cream soda and i loved them. I couldnt face one these days, the way the ice cream floats on top of the liquid! It turns my stomach!!
yeah my gran used to make these for me too, she called them snowballs. But same here I dont think I could bring myself to try it now. I can taste it as we speak.
