Awww :( Hope things are looking up a bit. I've been trying to adjust this year to my arthritis having taken a nosedive and adapting to using a stick (some people are just so ignorant and rude!) and trying to plan (usually more last minute!) and survive the shops and carrying stuff and getting it back when I go back home for Christmas. I've cut down a lot but everyone has been fine though I do feel it that I've not been able to do as much as usual due to restrictions, no Christmas do or festive night out or Christmas markets... as I wouldn't manage it.
Could you try and turn a bit of a positive slant on things? I know it's easier said than done though. Maybe make a list of treat stuff for someone to get you, some lovely treat food and drinks (although not alcoholic) and maybe build it up as a nice treat that you don't have to go out in the bad weather in the mad crowds etc... then curl up all warm and snug on the sofa with some festive nibbles and non-alcoholic drink (you could make some nice alcohol free cocktails) and watch a nice film or play some games.
Or get yourself taken out to a nice pub with a real fire for a nice meal or something. Even something random like sending someone out with a phone who can do skype on it who can do a live link up to help you choose things.
It's not easy when you want to do things yourself though.
Look after yourself and I hope things look up soon x
