I dont have a deep fat fryer but i love chicken goujons in restaurants. I nearly got some in asda today but though if i oven cooked them theyd be no where near as crispy as i like them (mmmm)
And ive never deep fried using a pan or frying pan x
boxtops, the Actifry is expensive, but my Oh is a gadget man!....and I thought, here we go again, yet another gadget, but to be fair it is really great, you can cook 2kg of chips with just one teaspoon of oil, so very healthy, not smelly, and they are lovely and crispy too!........not the only use either, you can cook lots of things in them!.......
the actifry is very versatile vodkancoke, you get a recipe book with it, lots of recipes online too........I make chilli in mine, you can cook loads in it!........
I don't have a deep fat fryer but when I want to deep fry anything, I use a wok. I make chicken goujons with leftover chicken breast meat. I tear it into strips (don't cut it, the uneven pieces make for crisper goujons) then dip them into egg, then breadcrumbs. Deep fry in very hot oil just till the crumbs are golden (the chicken is already cooked). Drain on kitchen paper and serve however you like them. Much nicer than anything Asda (or anyone else) can come up with!!
