Not sure where to put this so going for the old failsafe of Chatterbank! Today when driving along the A5 in Northamptonshire, going northbound, about four miles from Flore Hill near Weedon I saw an extremely low plane flying over to the east. It was possibly a military plane but does anyone know of any reason why it would be so low (apart from landing) or where it could have been going?
It was big, at first glance I assumed it was a small passenger plane but then realised it was grey so probably the Hercules. Does that give us a clue as to where it would be going?
Here's the link for air traffic over Europe, but as I mentioned on a previous thread,it isn't particularly accurate. I checked it on the day flights resumed after the volcano and spotted one aircraft over Spain.
When I checked the flight plan discovered it was on an internal flight over Turkey.
