I was in Cornwall on holiday when they anounced that the Olympics would be held in London. This was overshadowed the very next day when the 7/7 bombs went off.
Thank god it is over bob, the really sad bit about the one I saw was that it was a surgeon that was killed

This is it, I was going to hugh frasers house to work for lady antonia, and was about 50 yards away

22 October 1975
On the same day that the innocent Guildford Four are all convicted of the pub bombs, the London ASU rings the home of Hugh Fraser MP in Campden Hill Square W8 and asks what time he leaves in the morning. The cook innocently replies: About nine. The terrorists plant a bomb under one of the wheels of Frasers Jaguar. But at 9pm, while out walking his dog, Professor Gordon Hamilton-Fairley, a world-renowned cancer specialist at St Bartholomews Hospital, spots the bomb, bends down to investigate and activates the bombs micro-switch. He is killed instantly.

I remember when big daddy came to birmingham, me and my mates were telling everyone up the shops, it was big news!
For me it was Lockerbie. I sat glued to the TV i couldn't believe what i was hearing, so sad.
i also remember what i was doing when i heard the news about 9 / 11, i was sitting in my friends house when her husband came home and switched on the tv at first we didn't know what was going on. Sadly we knew that life as we now know it would never be the same again.
I was on stage playing the part of Richard II in the school play. The interval was interupted by the headmaster who announced to the parents and the cast that President John F Kennady had been shot. It was November 22nd 1963 and I was 14 years of age
The Millenium was pretty cool.
