I care for my 85yo mother who has several major medical conditions including Parkinson’s Disease. She lives alone so I do shopping for her. Problem is that I don’t have any documentation to prove that I care for her. Is there any way I can access the shopping slots for the elderly? I am also classed as being vulnerable as I have heart problems, diabetes and have had cancer.
In answer to the OP, you will not be ID'd for your age, peachybabe. I was in Tesco yesterday in the pensioners' slot but there were people in there a lot younger than me. There were a few requests over the tannoy to observe the rule, that's all.
Now we have all these new rules, will there still be slots for pensioners at supermarkets, as it seems folk are now only allowed to go out for essentials?
This morning, Waitrose introduced a limit of 40 people in the store at one time....one out, one in. There was a HUGE queue of people standing around the car-park (including over-70s etc).
