This cat was mis-treated by its owner and thrown out onto the street, unable to walk. The guy in the video rescued it and nursed it back to full health. They now make a really beautiful partnership, don't you think?

mum ignores me but her dter sits half way up my chest, padding, purring & staring at me. I have to sit on my hands else she licks & bites them.

Pasta:
My lot are cooperative enough until I want to put flea treatment on their necks. I finally managed to catch Biscuit a few days ago, after several weeks of trying, but I've been chasing Moonbeam all day long (and for many days before).

Tambo:
Chequers (the big black and white boy) is the one of mine who's obsessed with licking my hands. He'll lick almost anything though and provides a useful 'pre-wash' service for my dinner plates after a meal ;-)

My neighbour where I used to live had a cat like that. She was called Molly and she couldn't stop pawing visitors (me) She was black and white and in my experience, a lot of balck and white cats are very affectionate. Maybe it's something that is bred into them.

My friend's ragdoll greets visitors as if he were a dog, running up to greet them!
I know that cat in the video isn't black and white but you get my point..
Their tongues are rough, like sand paper. Is it hinger or affecion?

Some 'experts' say that cats lick your hands to get salt, Tambo, but there are plenty of other theories:

Thank you Buenchico, that is lovely. What a lucky cat, happy cat. Just like yours are.

Thanks, Marval.

Fevzi, in the video, is very similar to my lovely Biscuit.
Lovely looking little pest you have there, tambo.

awwwwwww...xx
^^^^^that wasn't supposed to happen...
Anyway...tambo, she's/he's gorgeous!

I just flea treated Caspar tonight...not sure I got it all on him as he kept wiggling away. :(
But if he doesn't get done, he suffers with flea dermatitis. Everything goes pink under his white coat.
Question Author
Sorry if I seemed to ignore you (and your cat), Tambo. I've been doing other things and I've only just come back to this thread.

She's absolutely gorgeous!!!

Pasta:
My Biscuit suffers with a flea allergy, meaning that he ends up with semi-bald patches if I can't get the treatment onto him, but it can take me weeks to catch him (and, even then, I can't always be sure that I've applied the stuff properly). At least he seems to have grown out of his epilepsy though; it's 16 months since he last had a fit.
My last cat thought that swatting things off shelves was a good way to wake me up.

Maybe we could have a 'my favourite cat video' thread?!
Question Author
I've learned never to put anything delicate on a shelf, Susan.

We seem to have 'favourite cat video' threads almost every day, don't we?

;-)
