Deposits On Glass Bottles, Plastic Bottles And Metal Cans

I read that the Scottish parliament propose to introduce a deposit on these items,I am in favour of this and would welcome a similar scheme in England
does anybody disagree if so why ?

^ Yes a while back the price of scrap Aluminium was so high empty drink cans were worth 1p each, it has dropped now but still worth collecting them. You can buy crushers to get them down to a manageable size. But you need to get 20Kg or so before the scrap man will take them.

A single can is about 15 grams so work it out . 67 cans per Kilo.
^ so 67,000 cans per tonne . Thats a lot of work !
