It's not everyday you get a Bald eagle landing on your arm.

Tills, isn't watching their total focus as they fly to the kill/lure astonishing - even if it is at the end of your arm

Tony, I think its treat 'em mean keep 'em keen
Ah, I get the picture, sloopy.
I remember a few years ago, I also had the pleasure of having a bald eagle on my arm, it was part of a corporate team-building, training day.
I think the bird weighed about 8lbs, a very memorable experience!
Great photo!

|It is amazing, sloopy. I also love all the paraphernalia which goes with falconry, the history, the equipment, the terminology.

Mr T and I are going to do a week long falconry course together. We may have our own kestrel/ peregrine/Harris Hawk, if things go well.

Thank you, Chip.
On the day we went, one of the Bald eagles had gone on 'flyabout' and they didn't know where it was. Imagine that landing on your bird table.

PS. It came back during the afternoon, having been missing for more than a day.
On my bird table, a sight to behold for sure! :-).
I think they often go astray at these events but 9 times out of 10 they soon come back when they get hungry.
Question Author
yes, Chip. They are very motivated by food. (Just like Mr Tilly!)

Can you imagine the calls to the Police Station from people who have no clue about birds?

I bet they'd say it was a vulture, or something.
You will be up before the beak if you are not careful
