Our last one was an Old English Sheepdog. Known as the animated hearth rug.
When he got too big to be allowed on the bed, a cold, wet nose would come under the duvet and be shoved right in the middle of my back. Then he would scamper off out of boot range and sit there laughing.
It could indeed oz. He was a lovely fella. When we took him up on the common for a run he would scamper about like a loony on a high...until any cattle appeared...then he hid behind me!
As soon as OH pulled out of the drive, big Eddy sneaked into the lounge and crept onto the big settee, (a big no no) I'll ignore him for a while 'cause the first thing I did this morning was put an old blanket over it, he's a creature of habit, but not when OH is home, I must be too soft on him.
