Personally, I wouldn't want to go abroad (anywhere) until all this settles....we don't know what the situation will be next week, let alone next month.
I'm trying to find out where my sister and her partner are - theoretically it's Florida but they could be trying to get back here and then I think that they'll go and weather it out down in their Provencal abode....however, it still could be the States and, at least, they can bunker down there, though the property is not quite what it is here or en la belle France.
Our travel company has emailed to say if there is an outbreak near any of their sites then they will offer alternatives if they can. If not they will refund all monies paid. I assume this will stand if France shuts down totally. Got another holiday booked there in September but would only lose deposit I think on that one. Just have to wait and see.
We travel on Eurotunnel, stay in the car on board, drive off at the other end and arrive at a fishing lake where he does his best to catch carp for a month or so. Very quiet holiday and not a lot of people around. Probably safer than being at home.
I am due to go on 1st April. Can’t see it happening and I don’t really want to risk it anyway. Will just have to wait to see what Ryanair comes up with.
FCO advises against all but essential travel to parts of S Korea, as for China.
Both those countries are over the worst it would appear.
A sports team from Wuhan is returning from Spain to escape the virus :-)
