Keyplus - “... Satanic verses has worried Eddie for a while so I thought I better let him know what Muslims believe about it...”
Sorry to interject but it would appear that you have misinterpreted Eddie's question. Now there's a surprise! If you were listening to me I would advise you to re-read his original question and answer it honestly rather than posting your ridiculous link.
Ridiculous? Indeed it is. Have you even bothered to read it yourself Keyplus? Is so, then you have yet again confirmed that your ability to recognise a rational argument is effectively non-existent.
For example, there is a section in your linked document which discusses the matter of why muslims dismiss the satanic verses as false. It says, and I quote:
“... Now we will address the issue of why Muslims today simply dismiss the account mentioned by these two writers (al-Tabari and Ibn Sa'd). To begin with, Muslims exegetes in the past have dismissed these accounts, too. This is not something new. Michael Fischer and Mehdi Abedi [have said], 'The story that Muhammad could have used the Satanic suggestion is rejected by almost all exegetes...' … Since the story is rejected by almost all the exegetes, are the Muslims not justified in dismissing the account related to the so-called 'Satanic verses'?...”
Do you see what's happened there Keyplus? Can you see the very obvious deception and the not-so-subtle slight of hand in that piece? Even though the authors specifically stated that they would, “... address the issue of why muslims today dismiss the account...” they then completely and utterly failed to address the matter at all. In a nutshell, all they have said is that because many muslims dismiss the writings of al-Tabari and Ibn Sa'd, that is enough to dismiss the matter out of hand.
There was no 'addressing of the issues' whatsoever in you linked document - just out and out refutation. This kind of thing is not rational argument Keyplus. It is the exact opposite. Not that I would expect you to understand since you have clearly given up thinking for yourself a long, long time ago.
