Ichkeria, you’re confused. TTT’s reference to the ‘usual dance’ relates to those who deny reality. His personal suspicions that Islamists are likely to have been involved do not. No sneakiness here.

//A terrorist with a gun would have killed far more so speculation has been far wide of the mark//
Not necessarily, you can get guns in this country but automatic weapons are very costly and difficult and the underworld would steer clear of selling them due to the ramifications after the event.
This means the guns used will have minimal firepower so by the time 5 people have been shot everyone will have run away and be hiding, if they had any sense.

1. 50% are not focussed on a particular ethnic/religious group.
2. Where they are it is because the authorities often are reluctant to give out descriptions when they are. As NJ said much speculation could be stopped if they were more open, they must have known pretty quickly on this one.

I "jumped to conclusions" when I read the first local report last night. I'm familiar with the area, it's only a mile or so up the road from me...an ordinary neighbourhood. Not a place for terrorist incidents. But if course some people will always think they know otherwise.
Now if it had been at the Dockyards nearby,I may have jumped to a different conclusion.
