yep and spath based his figures on the £6k amount and they are still fact - apparently! No wonder the kids can't buy a house they can't do simple arithmetic!
I can't be bothered to do the maths, but given that house prices were 4 - 5 times the average salary in 1970, dividing the average house price today by the average salary today should show how far spath is right or wrong.
