And say what to them?????????????
"Yes we will recognise Sharia law" "Yes we will all start wearing hijabs"
"We will knock down all churches and build more mosques"
What part of the Muslim community would this dialogue be with? The terrorists are deaf to logic and the vast majority of the rest of this community couldn't help.
Have been out and only back 5 minutes- has it been established now then that the terrorism was IS/jihad related?
Anyway, even before today I think there is already dialogue and more is needed but I am not sure how it would work as there are so many types of Muslims, some of whom hate each other, and Islam not organised in the same way as say the Catholic church where there is a clear structure with known leaders- the local imams etc just seem to be self appointed as far as I can see
Well the friends of the religion of peace constantly tell us that this is a few extremists. If that is true you cannot make a deal with those that have an intransigent list of demands and will accept only death or conversion. How do you suggest we open such a dialogue Stan?
10CSt- can you give an example of where Sharia law takes precedence ver UK laws? There are Sharia Councils but they are not courts of law.
This may make you see the actual picture

As I understand it Sharia only exists in an arbitration/advisory capacity; but if one felt obliged to go there and agree to be bound by the decision, it would be effectively operating as the law for some.
Scotland was left out of the UK for many years until they formed their own parliament, which seems to be working quite well. Would the same sort of formula work in England if Muslims were given the chance to set up some form of assembly, which could lead to a peaceful solution for all concerned?
"Scotland was left out of the UK for many years until they formed their own parliament," - your ignorance is quite breathtaking. Scotland have never been left out of anything. They have had their own laws etc since the act of union., They have also had 105% of what the rest of the country get in funding via the Barnett formula. The monumentally silly devolution from Saint Psuedo Tory Tony was merely a bauble that created a gravy train for the Scots MSPs. It actually changed almost nothing legally but did lead to the rise of Queen Nicola and the SDDP who haven't stopped whining since.
