My local has banned the smoking of e-cigs inside the pub, about time to! I work in there on Friday evenings and if you get 3 or 4 people puffing away it does make the atmosphere horrible, just like pre July 2007.
I agree. A woman I work with insists on puffing away during departmental meetings. I hate being in the room with her, and try to sit as far away from her as possible. One of the men commented that he didn't like the smell of her e-cig and she replied that she didn't like the smell of his greasy hair, but she wouldn't dream of complaining about it.
Have to agree 'malagas', what is it if its not news then 'jackthehat', its news to me after working in the pub for over 16 years, and in my 67 years on this earth have never tried pot, weed, hash, tobacco or indeed drugs of any kind, unless you include the odd pint or glass of wine in that!!
You've posted this in the 'News' topic......and things discussed in here are usually of rather more National/International importance than your local banning e-cigs...
The ban is by organisations, not the law. The definition of smoking laid down in section 1 of the Act is: A person is said to be smoking if he is in possession of a LIT substance, capable of being smoked. E cigarettes are not against the law - yet!
