Interesting that the jury found them not guilty of the related charge of attempted murder of a police officer.

Obviously very glad they have been found guilty. Now comes the sentencing. There should be no question of some kind of short sentence for these guys.
I seem to remember that Jury is not allowed to come back with a verdict, unless at least one hour has elapsed. The first few minutes would have been taken up by electing a Chair, so 90 mins sounds about right.

Is that right?

Didn't know that.

Yep...walking to the jury room, electing a chair, calling it and then waiting an hour.

Does anyone know what the maximum possible sentence is?
Rest of your natural in jail, SP, subject to periodic review.

Good.

I think this is the worst crime I've lived through.

Worse even than 7/7.

I know I probably shouldn't say this, but I hope that from now until the day they die, they live in perpetual fear of attack.

Acid perhaps.

Yes...I know that their punishment has been handed down by the court and that their sentence is their sentence, but I'm happy to waive my liberal ideals for just this one case.
@SP A sentiment I am sure which is shared by many, revulsed at the barbarism and brutality of the act.
