Apparently the Government are satisfied that the assurances from Jordan are acceptable and that he can be sent back there for a retrial. He is most likely to be deported while his lawyers can still challenge that decision.
From the Guardian report
// The expiry of the three-month deadline for the Home Office to lodge an appeal with Strasbourg means the legal block on a new deportation attempt has been lifted. Qatada is expected to fight the move in the courts – a battle that could last months. //
/// 13.31 The Telegraph's security editor Tom Whitehead reports that a deportation order has been issued for Qatada, stating the Home Office intends to remove him on or around April 30. ///
Yest again another reason for removing ourselves from anything Europe.
We do not need to be part of the ECHR our country is one of the fairest and liberal anyway. Our sovereign state is being overridden by a bunch of faceless unelecterd Europeans.
Withdraw from ECHR and rewrite the HRA to stop theiveing scum lawyers taking the country for a ride.
why do you want to send Peter Andre to Jordan ? Poor lad has had enough bad luck in his life ,he went to my old school and married Jordan ,give the lad a break.
Abu Qatada better put him on the returning shuttle and send him of to outer space! (Hopefully a black hole )
