Prudie...there is no evidence that he blocked the culvert, unless Anna can persuade the Polish worker to materialise. An accusation without proof would just play into the prosecutors hand. But even if she could produce the chap, it would be his word against Rob. And it wouldn't really help prove that Helen acted in self-defence.
Shula's evidence would probably be ruled out by the Judge, as Anna has already made clear.
No.........the only way for Helen to be found not guilty here is for her to destroy Rob's credibility and his story. If Jess appears tomorrow and says that she was raped as well, then it will look good for Helen.
Helen must win over the Jury and a self-defence stand would seem to be the best way forward.
What I am hoping for is that Rob loses his temper under cross-examination.
We all know that he has a very short fuse and Anna should be able to get him to lose it.
Rob is very clever but, like all clever people, he is also very arrogant.
He thinks he is invincible but if he is given enough rope, he will surely hang himself with it.
