I really feel for you both. That is so annoying! Perhaps the next step is to write them a polite letter, explaining the problem and asking them to please soundproof the room the dryer is in or not to use it after a certain time at night. Remind the husband in the letter that he did promise to make sure this would not happen anymore. But whatever you write ... keep it polite and friendly. After all, you do have to live next to them long term and won't want to end up with a nasty glaring competition every time you walk out your door. Keep a copy of the letter, so that you have proof that you did in fact approach them in this manner. If this doesn't work, ask the CAB for assistance in finding a cheap solicitor who will approach them for you and if necessary take further steps. Hopefully this will not be necessary. Good luck with this. :o)
