Mr Lowry sir, can't find anything on My profile which lets me do what you suggest. Before we go any further, please accept I'm thick when it comes to computers and their workings.
you will need a picture and must have the same email address that you have used to register with the answerbank site.
if so ,click on My Profile under your user name.
then click on edit my details, at the top of that page there is a little avatar box
that you have to click .
I just put this thread in Chatterbank : give it a go. Google 'funny photos' and find a photo unless you have one you like on your pc already. I downloaded mine into My Pictures. Register with gravatar.com. Go through the process of loading your photo and make sure you use the same email address as the one you use on Answerbank. You can use any password. Confirm/Submit (can't remember which but you will see as you go along). Go into your profile on Answerbank and Edit User Profile. Tick the avatar box at the top of the page. if you don't get your picture try CTRL F5. Let us know if you still have problems and someone will help you. Lots of people had problems at first, so good luck.
You are certainly hotter than me over this - would never have sorted it without your help - thank you so much. Have been on the page which gives me lots of blank thingies to fill in but that's at least a start. Am going to fill up the glass with a very nice red and try to make a plan - may call on you again if you are around. Thank you - go well and don't go out this evening!!!!
think it may be too much for a grannie and just may give my attention to the bottle of red. I appreciate the efforts of those (probably)younger and those (certainly) smarter than me. Thank you -
carmalee have you got a picture on your computer that you want to use ?
if the answer is YES click on the gravatar link i posted .
sign up there and upload your picture
ABers are so great - thank you all - am going to enjoy the entire bottle of red, assimulate what I've been told and hopefully have enough brain cells remaining to take all your advice tomorrow (or the day after).
Really thought it would be very simple - click a button here and there and it was done.
Can't tell you how much I appreciate all the help and I will follow it up -not guaranteeing it will come to fruition but am going to try - seriously old person - totally thick but good with animals not technology! Go well
slark - thank you - will do - to put you in the picture of how non computer literate I am - have Don Williams laconically strumming away on the stereo - Mack Davis is waiting for his turn and Kenny Rogers warms up in the background. Sad I know but my life and I love it!
