I`ve just bought a 90 cm width shelf to fix into a wooden garden shed. They came with wall plugs with instructions about fixing to masonary. Do I really need them to use on wood? Could I just screw the screws directly into the wood? I can`t remember what I did last time, with the old shed.
I don't think you need plugs but you might need to put up a panel or battens to make a thicker base for the shelf fixings. Ordinary garden type sheds are not really thick enough
I think Wolfgang's right about the thickness of the wood being insufficient to hold the screws - I'd drill right through and use machine screws with large washers on the outside.
