What's the difference in expensive Tablets Fairy etc and cheaper brands. I was using Fairy and today bought Asda own brand at £1.60, seems have done the same job dishes clean and sparkly.
I don't have a dishwasher any more, but when I did, I bought Aldi. Provided you are happy with the cleaning effect, no need to buy famous brands - they rely on people sticking to brands they know. Same with washing powder tablets, I wouldn't buy anything else than Aldi these days.
We have to use Calgon-type tablets too due to v. hard water - Calgon, five quid a box - Morrisons £1.50.
I use powder rather than tablets - much more economical. Glasses go cloudy after a while no matter what you use - just regard them as disposable and go to Ikea more often for replacements!
Cloverjo - Waitrose do an own-brand powder. By the way I don't use rinse aid - I could never see that it made any difference. I fill the rinse-aid dispenser with water to stop the silly light from coming on!
I never used rinse aid either, perfectly ok without it. Falls into the same category for me as fabric conditioner in the washing machine - completely unnecessary.
Boxtops -are we the only 2 people in the country who abhor fabric conditioner? I hate it when I stay with people who use it - I don't want artificially perfumed sheets!
