Having passed out last Wednesday night I went to my GP on Tuesday for a check up. I appear to have quite low blood pressure.
Apart from drinking loads of water which I usually do anyway is there anything else I need to do. I've looked online but would like ABers recommendations as well.
naomi...QUITE.......and that is the question.
It is a symptom of a medical disorder or situation that i outlined in my first post and I don't want to go over it all again.
I have just taken my BP. Reading: 157/151. Retook it and 106/80. These home electronic kits are so unreliable. Why can't doctors use the old-fashioned sphygmamometer any more?
That's the one. My GP has one but she has to hide it when elf'n safety come knocking, as there should be no mercury in the surgery, even though it's in a sealed tube.
The old fashioned ones have advantages though. Without an arterial line for real time pressure, they are more accurate at lower readings. We sometimes switched to them on itu if we were not sure. You cant get the paradox from an electronic one, and if you have a flat battery and a power failure they still work.
