Does anyone know about treating Raynaud's with fish oils ? If so, which fish oils and what dosage ? And would fish oil interact/interfere with nifedipine ?
I have never seen any study that shows that fish oils (omega 3 I presume) has any beneficial or preventative effect on Raynaud's Phenomenon.
Don't waste your money.
Thanks. I have seen the result of a tiny study (about 32 people) which suggests that sufferers from primary Raynaud's can get relief by taking fish oils, but the dose suggested seems awfully high.
Having experienced Raynaud's for a number of years, (my experience seems to be limited to hands only) I was surprised that the link also references a study involving l'arginine which I've used in gel form for about 6 months and found it seemed to help. However, I'll try it for a while longer before opting out... just in case. My experience seems to be limited to hands only...
I was interested to see that you mention L- arginine. I looked it up, and found that it can help with hight blood pressure. If my blood pressure got any lower than it already is, I'd probably be dead, so I may give that one a miss.
